"The Dark Knight" viral marketing sites continues to give us surprises.

The ever popular "why so serious" site (a Joker themed site) is up......still, and The Joker has a surprise for us. The site has a jack-o-lantern displayed in front of a black screen,

here is a screen cap of the site.

Look familiar?......Thats right it is "The Long Halloween" jack-o-lantern with a Bat shaped mouth, and yes the candle is animated

Keep an eye on the level of the candle, my sources tell me that the candle will melt little by little each day till finally on Halloween morning at 12:01 a.m. we will be treated with a poster that will ONLY be up for 24 hours. FYI we were supposed to get the "leaked images" instead but you know what happened with that.

Now lets talk about what the poster will look like, there was talk of a Joker poster that would show his hands crushing a bat, but the MPAA is not liking it at all plus I would assume PETA would be all over it as well. (but the MPAA gave the go ahead for the Saw posters so....)

It is a strong possibility that we will get a poster......but, IF the "dismantled bat" poster doesn't get the go ahead expect a poster similar to these

but it will be Batman and the Bat pod. Batman standing on a building with his cape billowing in the wind. Imagine the way the bats looked in the begins posters

Something along the same lines as that
EXCEPT "raining" joker cards. (instead of Bats)

Same color scheme as most TDK things Blue.
and
The tag line on the poster is something along the lines of "After it begins....it must end." and then at the bottom of the image something along the lines of "or not....."

That's not what Batman is about, so it would be going astray from all that is Batman. In the comics he's never had a love interest. Bruce Wayne has had a GF for the sole reason of covering up his alter ego, but never has been emotionally attached to her. A case could be made for Ra's Al Ghuls' daughter, but he ends up hating her. Too many risks of being emotionally attached to another person. He already has Alfred to worry about, another person would make him weaker. Look how weak Superman is.

there's been some speculating that once the candle burns down, the pumpkin will start rotting, finally ending at Halloween with a treat of some sort. Either way the candle is burning fast.

You're supposed to send in photos (primarily of letters, apparently) and it's going to spell out some sort of message. Go to the whysoserious.com page and you'll see it's evolving over time.

Plus the peeps who find each letter/thing first get their alias on each find, so free cheap thrills if you're into that.

the secret message over at whysoserious.com has been uncovered, which reads "The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules."

The message on whysoserious has been completed by the fans. A shadow will go over the letters and then you can click on the bottom right (where you can see part of a photo). You'll get a peek at a new photo of Heath Ledger as The Joker! Click that photo and you'll be taken to RorysDeathKiss.com, another game, where they are asking you to take photos of yourself, family and friends dressed up for Halloween in front of the most famous landmark in your city. If the fans do this, the site says, "I'll do something for you."
