Miami Waives Derek Anderson
12th September, 2006 - 2:52 pm
Press Release - The Miami Heat announced today that they have requested waivers on guard Derek Anderson.
After being acquired by the Heat from Houston on Feb. 23 for guard Gerald Fitch, Anderson saw action in 23 games (three starts) and averaged 5.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 20.2 minutes. During the 2006 NBA Playoffs, he appeared in eight games and averaged 3.0 points, 1.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 8.3 minutes
What a with his loyalty crap. I wonder what his next move is going to be, and how different things would have been if he stayed?
Every day I give thanks to jeebus for DA walking out on this team. Could you imagine a Spurs team with him and no Manu?

Heat have done a quite good job : $400K with a $2.5M salary is a quite small salary.the Heat waived Anderson after the two parties agreed on a $400,000 buyout.
DA will be paid by two teams (Portland and Miami) for not playing with them.Even if he gets ring, it's a vary poor end of carreer.
If only Holt hadn't been a cheap and given him his 80 million. Holt Cat [/marcus cryant]
