Artest to play in summer league

The Kings' summer-league roster was announced on Monday, and it was as unorthodox as expected. Small forward Ron Artest will indeed be joining the youngsters, and shooting guard Kevin Martin will be taking part for a third year. The league, which is typically a training or tryout ground for first- and second-year players like Kings draft pick Quincy Douby, begins play Thursday in Las Vegas.

That's a waste for either of them to be playing there, though I'm sure more vets will be finding their ways to Vegas now.
No doubt, he better be working his ass off in the weight room or in boot camp this summer, anything to get the guy some balls.
Maybe they can send him to Thailand for some surgery.
Well, In my opinion this is a great way for them to sell tickets to something that would otherwise be just be empty arenas.
Eh, there's going to be a load of people there no matter what. The Vegas league exploded this year -- the league had to limit the number of teams that take part.
It's still a waste of roster spots.
