Any suggestion will help because I dont want to go to the doctor unless I really have to.
Me and my friends got in a fight last night with these frat dudes like 15 of them vs 5 of us. Well I ed this dude's face up but later on my knuckle started to hurt bad. It is swollen and I can barely move it but hurts really bad when I do. How can you tell if it is broken or jammed?

X-ray time, sounds like.
If it's one of the knuckles on your fingers then you could probably buy a finger splint at the drugstore and put it on and tape it to the fingers on either side of it for a week or so. That's pretty much all they would do at the ER for a broken finger. If it's one of the knuckles that is at the base of your palm then there is no way of knowing if it is broken other than an xray, and if you broke something up in there it could be more than just a knuckle.
Oh yeah, don't forget that ibuprofen or Aleve(naprosyn) can be your best friend for the pain and inflammation.
Stop getting in fights. It serves no purpose.
My roommate whos a trainer just checked it, she said its just jammed bad
Sorry, couldn't resist.
15 vs. 5 and all you got was a bruised knuckle?
I didn't know they had fraternities in elementary schools.
Not all of them were swinging, you wouldn't know . Now get the out of my thread, I have no time for you.
like shakira says "no fighting"
Take it easy there Tommy Toughballs, if you punch your computer you'll aggravate that injured hand and break your computer.
Maybe he's confusing sororities with fraternities?
Was this the fraternity?

You could have broken a knuckle, or even a bone in your hand. I would get it examined.
i prefer using two popsicle sticks taped together with that white tape, makes a mighty fine splint.
Nice how you amplified your lie by even mentioning it...it didn't happen. You punched the wall after losing at tetris on your computer, don't lie. If you have an "Injury question" ask it. Don't try to make yourself sound tough by making up "15 on 5" scenario's you think are cool...how funny. I saw more teeth-swallowing gangfights by the age of 14 than you ever will on TV.

I don't care what you think, I know what went down. All I was askin was a simple question and there are stupid s on the internet who type stupid like you. Anyways, I already know what is wrong, my roommate is a sports trainer and she said it is jammed, not broken.
Just a question... if your roommate is a sports trainer... why didn't you just ask her in the first place? Seems kinda like an obvious source of information compared to a Spurs forum. Kinda sounds like you just wanted to tell everyone you got in a fight.
Because I didn't know she was goin to be here and I wanted to find out soon.
Three words...well, technically six.
