Spurs/Pistons - NBA Finals 2006!
I'm confident that they can both pull it off. , the Pistons are playing Lebron James and we're playing a team that has Dirk as their superstar.
come on spurs and pistons lets do this again.
Pistons<Spurs sig

Go ahead Spurs. I hope my team sits this one out. They need a hard lesson in what they have lost.
no!!!!! what is the matter with you?
The Pistons have become exactly what they used to hate - a fat team that assumes success is their birthright. Losing to a young, hungry team that is clearly less talented, and in the manner they would lose this series (blowing a 2-0 series lead) would teach them how far they have fallen. Up until this point, they have been able to "turn it on," avoiding disaster. I'd like them to learn that lesson now or face the consequences of having their run end prematurely.
Whether internal or external, the Pistons need changes and this series loss may be exactly what the doctor ordered. It was too easy to justify away the loss to the Spurs last season.
If losing game 7 last year wasn't a hard enough lesson for this team then Joe needs to blow this thing up.
i don't agree with you. our teams need to prove others wrong. nobody wants us in the finals because our teams play REAL basketball. they want Shaq, D-wade. James. they want teams that bring money and ratings, something the NBA finals failed to do last year. people have forgotten what real basketball is.
They just GOT one full in the face, at home. Now we'll see if it hit home or not; I think it will. Cavs got a rough night coming up.
But as for tonight, yeah, between the Spurs and the Pistons, one team did show championship heart. Only one.
A SPURS/Pistons finals would be excellent!
Kick Ass - Then we'll take names.
Wow, Piston fans can be just as negative as Spur fans. Who woulda thunk it. I'm still shocked that the Pistons lost that game, but I'm confident they'll win the series. I guess it's a lot easier to be confident when it's not your team...
one time i added three and four and i came up with seven...
well I'm hoping for a rematch but I just don't think ABC wants that....
as a matter of fact, I'm gonna predict the Miami Heat will be the next NBA
* champs if ABC has their way... sure the drama of lebron going to his first of many nba finals but eh not just yet, and ya'll can forget about dallas getting a ring, not in this universe.![]()
please prove me wrong!!!![]()
Did you hear Tayshaun? "We were in this situation two years ago with the Nets. So, you know, hopefully we can go there and do it again."
They've been getting these kind of "hard lessons" for 6 straight playoff series now, and each time they pull it off. It's set up a dangerous pattern of "wax on, wax off" that eventually they won't be able to fix.
I'd rather when the pattern finally becomes destructive that it happens now, when it can help the Pistons moving forward.
The Cavs, because of where they are, because they can't say "well, we just lost to the better team," they are in for the most bitter summer around here in this era. And hopefully, that will lead to an at ude overhaul.
If you will allow the analogy, it's not when mom threatens to ground you from the biggest party of the year, it's when mom finally grounds you and you actually miss the party that you stop acting like a spoiled brat.
For those of us fans who are fishing with our teams, Spurs and Pistons have one of a game coming up to watch, pure entertainment. I haven't ever seen such exciting playoff basketball! Thanks for the great entertainment.
Personally I'm rooting for Lebron, just don't think it will really happen. But GO LEBRON! anyhow
Just can't see the Mav's with a ring, blech. Too bad Avery has to lose too.
Question to Detroit fans: What does Flip do now?
Heads to Grand Rapids looking for a job with his old CBA team while Rick Adelman or Bill Laimbeer warm his seat in Detroit - with a strong defensive guru at their sides; a drill sargent of sorts.
The Pistons got it. The Spurs got it. Book it.
Yeah, I see you added that last line finally. Was gonna ask about that.![]()
Spurs and Detroit..
It will happen!!
If the Pistons climb back into this series, no more bull . I want them to act like they can and do want the NBA Championship. Less than that, and well, this team is a failure. As fans, most of us have been saying that all season. I'm not really sure everyone believed us.
