ST, do not adjust your computer screens or do a double take at Lakers' box scores. Since starting, we now have a PG that has averaged 15.6 ppg on 49% shooting, 54% 3pt shooting, 80% FT%, and 8.8 dimes per game. Last night's 23/9 was pretty good. So good that I bring video proof of his emergence:
Maybe him dropping CP3 off for 24/13 as a Cav wasn't a fluke.. Watch him score a full court layup in less than 5 seconds. Is he just as fast as TP (not to mention younger
)? Hmmm...

Nice avatar and sig! Kinda catch huh?![]()
What's the record since he's been playing for LA?
5-4?![]()
15.6 ppg and 8.8 apg suggests that it is not him that is the issue. Like I said in another thread, when that playoff rotation shortens, you won't see us blowing leads like you have lately. These games right now are sacrificial. Call them glorified practices in preparation for the big dance. Non-issue tbh.
How much he outscored Fish against OKC? I mean, Lakers have been playing some really crappy teams lately...
You deflecting. Fish is a backup chucker with that team. They don't need anything from him other than vet leadership and being the mole that he is.
I guarantee you Fish won't outplay him (as you are suggesting) in the playoffs. Now run tell dat!![]()
So how did he do against OKC?
I'm deflecting?![]()
I love how Spurfan continues to cite regular season games/performances like they have any bearing on postseason basketball.
It's like they haven't been sufficiently kicked in the nuts enough the last 4 years
Guess Spurfan isn't the only one holding on to the past...
Tell me more how Sessions has done in the playoffs...
Nobody knows...that's the beauty part. Homeboy could explode for all we know.
It could just as easily be the ugly ... kinda like Durant's acne, tbh
But it's most likely to be somewhere in between--which is world's better than what we've had at the point for a few years now.
He didn't do much against OKC as a Laker. Little known fact: he's already beaten OKC as a Cav on the road. This year. WB had 19 points which is closer to what would happen come playoff time. 36 points? Won't happen in the playoffs. You can quote me on that.
Don't know about "few years"... definitely last season... but Fish at least was clutch, and was a floor general...
Thing is, all we have to go by right now is Westbrick dropping 36 on his ass at home... the question is, was it a fluke?
tbh, not even the Lakers get up for Cleveland... but I'll take your word for it...
What's that?
BTW, I just looked up the boxscore for that game... little known fact: Sessions scored 5 points, 3 ast, 2 TOs...

Oh yeah
Like I said.. playing in LA is a different ballgame...
That's my only worry about him tbh. At first it was how would he play in the "bright lights" of Staples. He passed that with flying colors. My hope is that he will pass playing in the playoffs for the Lakers as well. Why? KGB are options 1-3. He just needs to play his game and let KGB do the heavy lifting.
Well, they need more than that... Fish would've been enough to do just that... defensively, I'm sure he'll be better than Fish, but the jury is out as far as guarding quick PG. MB also needs to figure out how to use his speed better, because he can't create his own shot, so that's what he has going for him...
Although he has shown that he can score as a Laker, I don't want him scoring more than 10-15 ppg tbh. I want him to increase the shooting percentages of role players like MWP, Barnes, Murph, etc with his passing ability. He can do that due to the attention KGB will command. Like I said, I expect the playoff rotations to shorten and the focus of the team to sharpen come playoff time. MB is still trying to figure out how to use a real pass 1st PG (the whole team is tbh). Once they do we have the complimentary pieces to do major damage in the playoffs. Rebounders, swatters, hustlers, bigs that can shoot 3s, etc. We just got to put it together in time for the big dance. We'll be fine... Non-issue.
That would be a new role for him, tbh... never been near double digit assist in his career... I expect him to be more of a scoring PG... having all that speed on the perimeter and not using it is kind of a waste...
I think it will depend on matchups. He's had some really efficient scoring games (i.e. 7/10 FGAs). I would love to see MB cut him loose but for now I'm content with about 7-9 dimes and 10-15 ppg. Those dimes means that the bigs are getting their touches in their sweet spots and more importantly the scrubs are contributing.
MB should have cut him loose on WB. WB is no way near an all defensive team defender. I have a su ion that the next time(s) we play things won't be so one sided.
