Well without Rita Dexter is a single dad. How would he be able to kill then? I also wonder if her death pushes him off the deep end.
He was getting close to it at the end of last season tbh. I think her death is more of a reality check for him. Gets him back in line.
i hear ya. part of the reason last season wasnt my fav is cause he had too much goin on to be the real dexy
if it gets worse this season it'll be hard to watch
what if rita's death sets him off and he murders his own kids and goes on a rampage and attacks lebron

Specific details of Rita’s “resurrection” are being kept under wraps, but I’m told she is not coming back from the dead. New showrunner/executive producer Chip Johannessen also rules out a spectral visit a la Dexter’s late pa, Harry. “We’re not going to do some ghostly thing with her,” he says. Adds fellow exec producer Sara Colleton: “We reserve those for Harry. If you have too many things like that it becomes gimmicky.”
So how exactly will Benz — who will shoot her Dexter episode before starting work on her new ABC drama, No Ordinary Family — be revived? A Showtime rep would only add that the presence of Rita will “help Dexter deal with his newfound feelings of loss and grief — emotions he has never really felt before.”

Another season of Dexter means time to renew my Showtime subscription again. I can't wait to see how the writers handle this season.
I liked last season. Well the end atleast. Cause it was bold to kill Rita and shocking. Now they got everybody wondering and waiting for next season just to see how he goes on. Many times he said he couldn't feel emotions then soon as he does he gets the biggest hit.
