Spurs’ Classic Team Showcases Early Title Contenders
In addition to the current San Antonio Spurs roster, NBA 2K21 features two other playable Spurs teams. One of those is a classic roster that comes from the 1997-98 season. That was back during one of the first few years after Gregg Popovich became head coach.
That particular team went 56-26 and made the playoffs, but didn’t get to the championship round. They ultimately fell to the Utah Jazz, 4-1 in the Western Conference Finals.
However, the squad featured The Admiral David Robinson, fellow All-Star Sean Elliott, and a young star in the making named Tim Duncan. In just their next season, the team captured their first NBA title.

All-Time Spurs Roster Features Best in Franchise History
The San Antonio Spurs’ All-Time roster in NBA 2K21 features the best of the best from the team’s history. So that means not only are David Robinson, Tim Duncan, and Sean Elliott there, but so are players like Kawhi Leonard, George Gervin, and Tony Parker.
The starting lineup is just that with Parker at point guard, Gervin at shooting guard, and Kawhi playing small forward. Duncan and Robinson help solidify an imposing front line.
