Not sure how much Tim works with Wemby, but I'd like to see him locked in the gym with him as soon as the season ends until the Olympics tbh. Just work on his fundamentals. He has the instincts and the physical gifts, just get that IQ on the same level.

Because they were being blown out. No reason to risk injury in an unwinnable game. The good news is that Pop saved minutes early so that if the game had come back into focus, Wemby pretty much could have played the whole 4th Q.

In case you didn’t notice, you’re quoting 2 different persons, so 2 different points of view. I believe it can’t be denied Wembanyama has always been facing stamina issues, so pick what opinion you want.

i still think there are some sports writers out there who are leaning towards Chet so Thursday's game could determine if Wemby locks it up or this drags on a bit longer.
This wouldn’t be much of a race if this roster wasn’t in nightmare mode. Having a roster with no shooting or vet presence is insane.
if the first quarter of the season wasnt being actively sabotaged there wouldnt be a conversation to begin with. chet was getting a lot of the talk in december not just because of the W/L thing but also the wide gap in efficiency which has been shrinking.
once people started saying chet was ROY, it became a matter of not wanting to change minds. guys like Red , et al that refuse to budge from earlier positions because they dont want to admit they were wrong (which is silly, because they could just say that the play since then has led them to change their mind)
Our man is averaging 3.3 APG surrounded by guys who can't shoot. Wonder how much of a boost that would make to that stat, though his 2.2 ORPG might go down a little
They're openly telling you, for some of them the race still isn't over.
