Link to where I said this please? Or shut the up.
What the are they rewarding him for? Choking?
If that's the precedent being set, why not give Mason the MLE for sucking just as bad?

so does Adam Morrison? Should the spurs go sign him too?
Did your source tell you to post that?
In all seriousness, anyone who is happy with this deal is stupid. I'm not opposed to having Matt Bonner around but for the life of me I don't know how the he got a four year deal out of the Spurs with a RAISE.
This is from the guy that claimed Blair was going to end up in front of Bonner in the rotation last summer...
I'm surprised your 'sources' didn't pick up on this crap...
Whatever. I'd take my chances on Ian before watching Bonner choke away more playoff possessions and missed shot attempts.
Probably no surprise, but I'm o.k. w/ this.
I also hear that Rocket will duet w/ Justin Beiber this summer......Awesome.....
Noooooo, no, no, no. WTF are they thinking? Gingervitis a damn scrub.
Luckily after Tony walks next year we can have a smooth transition into the Bonner era. Time to build around the Rocket.
For the vet min I said I'd be ok with it.
Nothing I can do about it so I'm not gonna let it ruin my day off season or fandom as it does to these wahoos.
If it's a raise, then I wouldn't be surprised if it's 4yrs, $16M.
So would you feel more comfortable hearing it from Wojo or the guy who's actually supposedly re-signing?
If the latter, read here: http://www.unionleader.com/article.aspx?headline=Concord's+Bonner+re-ups+with+the+Spurs&articleId=587d54f6-bb06-4a60-8fc0-85c828bf54fd
Kinda stumped by the 4 year deal. Would have been fine with a 2 year, especially if Splitter is coming
He's wearing green, so... I think that's Scalabrine...
So we're clear.. he's going to be 34 by the time his contract is up, correct?
You can't just say "Bonner... noooo!" without context. The real question is not the value of Matt Bonner, it's his value compared to the replacement you could get at that price. You also have to factor in the time and energy to get the replacement to learn the system and fit into the team's style and strategy.
You can't really get NBA-capable NBA-experienced non-disruptive non-head-case hard-working big men at a much lower price than this. Name me one and I'll shut up.
Haven't talked to him in a few days.
But hey keep screaming and freaking out about something that's out of ur control.
What.the. ?
Here's a big to the FO and Bonner
I totally saw this coming. It's just like a death in the family or something. It's stunning when it actually happens.
I'll say what I've said all along, and it's the same thing I was saying last offseason: Bonner as a 4th or 5th big is a good value. Having a big who can shoot is a nice benefit. If Pop would use him in spot situations (and not as a mainstay in the rotation), I'd be all for it.
But we all know, from experience, that won't be the case. Pop wants his Horry v2.0. And I will be extremely surprised if, come the 2011 Playoffs, we are not counting on Bonner to not crash and burn. And we've seen that movie before.
Secondly, I just want to slap the FO for giving a bigger contract and long extension to a player who underachieved last year and has twice been a playoff disappointment. Are they paying this guy on potential or what?
Seeing the resign coming? Sure? Seeing a raise at four years coming? Yeah no. Forgot to call Cleo about that one.
eric b ima roll yo fat ass down a hill and watch u roll u dont have a muther ng source shut the up
, seriously this is laughable management by the FO (IF TRUE.)
-Bonner will likely be the 5th big off the bench because of splitter
-He showed signs of improvement in terms of skill and effort but he was not able to neutralize the other teams momentum and usually ended up losing our own momentum.
... now he gets a raise?? and for 4 years?? i dont see why we need to burn our cap like that..
I know the Spurs need a stretch four on their roster. But how about signing a stretch four who isn't a proven playoff choke artist? How about signing a stretch four with some potential? How about signing a stretch four who is past his prime?
Overpaying Matt f'in Bonner for four more years is amazing stupid in the short-term and the long-term.
Did things being out of your control ever stopped you from talking out of your ass?
I didn't think so.
That's it, this franchise has lost their ing minds. Not only was the window shut, but now there's no longer a window to even peer out of. It's a brick ing wall with Matt Bonner's picture on it.
4 yrs 15 mil...
