This is got damn horrible news. Bonner is a decent signing for LLE money. Four years and $14M or whatever the F is just stupid. He's a proven choker who should be a fifth bigman this season.

    Ungotdamnbelievable

The only benefit to this is this is one of few players Spurs could sign without affecting their Exceptions.

But it's still Matt ing Bonner.

The new contract is expected to exceed the annual salary of $3.2 million he earned last season.

If he can just learn how to not choke during the playoffs, he will be a useful piece.
How many more years do you think that might take? 10? 100? A billion?

Having little to no money to spend is one thing. Wasting a roster spot on a player, who known more for sandwich blogs, than for anything he's done in the postseason, is quite another.

I dont understand why he gets a raise too? 4 years for the LLE type money would have made sense.. sucks that we burned up for cap room for someone whose probably not gonna play assuming splitter comes.

Again not seeing the likes of wojnarowski or any report this and they report every signing. His latest report was on tyrus Thomas signing an offer sheet with jersey

Yet everyone is clamoring for Ian Mahinmi to be resigned.

bonner wasnt too effective during the mavs series, played pretty good during games 3 and 4 against the suns

bonner is a solid role player, you dont find many guys that big the can shoot like that

4 years may be a little too much, hopefully its a team option his last year and salary is not bad but bonner can be real inconsistent and soft on defense

Now all we need to do is trade Splitters rights to the Mavs, resign Bogans and Mason (lets bring Van Exel back for chuckles, as well), and shift JV to a player-coach.

What the are they rewarding him for? Choking?

If that's the precedent being set, why not give Mason the MLE for sucking just as bad.

I'm lol'ing all over this thread. Honestly, if you didn't see this coming you were probably in denial. Once you accept it, appreciate the hilarity of all the pics.
