Enough time for Dallas to still steal this though
Being down 30 makes a comeback hard. Mavs closed to 8 but that huge buffer was all Boston needed.

Dont undersestimate the celtics they have the best offensive rating in the league and also a top 10 defense

Celtics for some reason are similar to 2014 spurs
I just wish they were similar to the 2013 Spurs.

I hope they're similar to the 2008 Celtics while the Mavs are the 2008 Lakers.

    Porzingis Game1. Mavs were unprepared.

On paper this Boston team is also very talented. They won't continue to shoot that well but the Defense

Yeah their Top 8 >>> Dallas' Top 8 not just in talent but big game experience. tbh there's only so much you can really do when it comes to gameplanning, execution, etc. But it's going to be hard to count on unproven role players like Derrick Jones, Tim Hardaway, Jalen Hardy, etc to go toe to toe with the likes of KP, Horford, Holiday , and Derrick White. Even if Kyrie plays a lot better it will still be tough. Celtics don't have any mental midgets either....they get the 'choker' labeled thrown around on them but they usually get eliminated by complete teams with HoF level players. Another big difference is that none of these guys on Boston can really be hunted or exploited like some of the previous teams Dallas has played. Minnesota had the better roster on paper but it didn't matter since Gobert became a liability and Towns completely disappeared.

Kinda reminds me of the 04 Finals between Detroit and Los Angeles. LA had Shaq/Kobe obviously, but Detroit completely smothered the rest of the corpses that were being thrown out there like Medvedenko, Luke Walton, Devean George etc. In that Finals, Kobe/Shaq averaged over 20, but Derek Fisher was the next highest scorer with a whopping 6.4 ppg. I have a bad feeling this series is going to play out the same way, it was pretty clear that was Boston's strategy in Game 1 anyway. Let Luka carry the majority load on offese, while hunting him on defense, but clamp down everyone else.

Proof will be in the pudding tomorrow night. They either get the 18th nary a problem, or, it's..."World War 3, Bill." - "Rocky"

Once again everybody but Luka looking scared and hesitant. Kyrie playing better though but still missing easy shots. Kyrie and one or two role players need to step up or it will be another loss. Luka can’t go God mode for 48 minutes tbh

Also JT is a$$. 2-10 and they’re still winning

This is just bad basketball, not even fun to watch. Everybody on the Mavericks besides Luka looks terrified, like watching the Sixers that year Iverson carried all those scrubs to the Finals. Randomly will get a wild layup to go down but otherwise bricking wide open shots left and right. It's like watching a bunch of uncoordinated re s at LA Fitness on both sides. And JB/Tatum looking mid-tier as well. Boston just outlasting Dallas because they have six guys who are atleast semi-competent. If they played the Lebron Cavs of several years ago, they'd lose in 5 or 6. They don't look any better than how they were then tbh

Most boring Finals ever tbh. Jayson Tatum winning a le as the "best" player on his team would be a crime against humanity with how awful he's looked IMHO. The Mavericks chokejob is unreal

Still a winnable game. Kyrie just needs to get out of his and just play, so I can hit my over on him.
