not sure if serious mate?
not sure if serious mate?
So basically you want them to stand pat? Oh and Jackson's not a free agent. Some of ya'll post some dumb
Thats pretty ed if kevin did that. I wouldnt put it passed him. Thats as low as it gets. Didnt he say something to charlie villenueva along the lines of, about looking like a cancer patient a few years back? That was well known for occuring. But i've never heard of Garnett saying this to tim. But for Tim to hate someone as he is stated of saying about KG i wouldnt be surprised if kevin did actually bark those words. Mother er he is.
Spurs can not stand pat. They just can't. You can basicallly kiss goodbye competing for the le if they stand pat. They gotta do something. ed if i know what. I'm no exec, but we all know something needs to be done, something, anything.
how do people know Kevin knew Tim's mom died?
Well If I made this sort of comment out of ignorance, I would make sure to apologize very publicly once I found out.
Link to KG's apology?
Maybe he was wishing Amy a happy mothers day.
Not necessarily opposed to it, I think there are other things that the Spurs need to work on first. And if we lose KG by then, it was never meant to be. Also, don't forget he would have to pick up coach Pops system, and that takes at least 2 seasons.
That is fine.
Got that
All this talk about KG to S.A. is silly. If folks, fans and media alike, truly understood some things about KG, then they would know just how silly all this fantasy talk really is. First, KG is a very loyal guy. He loved Minnesota very much and never wanted to leave - despite their history of losing. He had numerous opportunities to do so in the past, but chose not to. He talked many times in the past about how cool it would've been to play his entire career in one place. Though he was eventually traded to Boston and despite winning a championship there, had it been up to him, he would've stayed there in Sota.
KG is no mercenary. He's not a guy to chase championships like so many others have before him. He also has no desire to uproot his family to move to another city. He's just not that kind of guy.
As I've said before, should he desire to play next season, it'll be in Boston or nowhere.
You want to talk about Tony and Manu getting plenty of rest? That sounds like a fascinating topic.
Here: I hope Tony and Manu get plenty of rest this summer.
On to your #2a topic: draft night talk. Who do you guys think we'll draft with our first pick at #59 and then either trade or stash overseas and never hear from again?
Thats about right
That's definitely not going to happen, I don't see Garnett leaving the Celtics. He will retire in Boston. BTW, that mothers day comment was very classy. Why are people wanting that with the Spurs?
maybe he was referring to Tim as a woman and wishing him a happy mothers day?
Buck Harvey is a tool. If he says it, you know it won't happen.
Agreed, he is worse than the lady that does the Cat columns at SAEN.
You are worse than him, so that makes this thread.....
Its a no-brainer. If we can get Garnett to sign here for the right price then we jump on that opportunity. If Antonio McDyess at his advanced age worked well here, then you can imagine how much better Garnett would work out.
People need to get over the fact that they "hate" Garnett and actually realize what he would bring to the table if we could get him....
We'd have a mobile 7 foot big-man with a polished post game, good range on his jumper and is an excellent defender and can block shots.
We'd be stupid to turn down his services. Period.

This. KG to the spurs is a pipe dream but if it was remotely possible I would definitely entertain it.
It's totally true. There's threads about it here on SpursTalk.
Some here want the Spurs to be the Jr Lakers. As long as they feel they can win, they don't care about principle.
what principle? it's a business, a form of entertainment, and a game
