it still hurts
This always seems to come up in the cache on youtube. And I am not complaining.

I about lost it when Manu hit that damn three lol. Had no confidence in our ability to get the game into overtime. What a fluke foul at the end.
Last finals, watching Kawhi hand GS their own ass.
This one brings me joy
My top 10 all-time teams:
01 Lakers
87 Lakers
14 Spurs
17 Dubs
86 Celtics
96 Bulls
18 Dubs
85 Lakers
93 Bulls
08 Celtics
Where are the 04 and 12 lakers. Four HoFers.
Fisher returns from injury -- -then the Lakers became unstoppable. True story.
Ewing -- you got that big Z in your fro, man!!
Didn't make my list. My favorite non- le winning Laker squads is the 1997 Lakers.
91 C's were good. Announcer said this could've been a championship preview. It should've been, tbh.
And this should've been the 08 finalists.
Is that the one with Eddie Jones starting ahead of Kobe?
Eddie was so underrated. Too bad he got thrown under the bus.
I thought so too at the time. Much preferred the soft spoken defender but in hindsight Lakers clearly made the right decision
How do you think you guys would have done vs those Celtics?
Spurs experience would've been a serious advantage. Celtics had HCA though. Flip a coin; but I give the slight edge to the Spurs.
2008 Celtics are arguably the best team of the decade
Spurs would need prime Duncan to combat KG, Perkins, Davis and even Powe/PJ Brown
This weakness is why Spurs would attempt to load up on post players for the next 2-3 offseasons. No surprise when the Spurs returned to le level again in 2011, the team had Splitter, McDyess, and Blair.
These C's would clam up at times. It took them seven games to beat everyone but the Lakers IIRC, including the Hawks.
Manu and Tony's ability to get where they want on the court and Bowen's ability to clamp Pierce or Allen would've been big. TD > KG too.
I think that the 09 and 10 C's were going to be even more dominant if KG hadn't injured his knee. Those were really supposed to be their best years. 08 beating the Spurs would've been a year ahead of schedule IMO. Remember that 09 and 10 is really when Rondo was closer to 07 Parker level. In 08 he was closer to 02 and 03 Parker level.
I think C's win, but likely more compe ive than the Lakers were. I don't see the Spurs losing a closeout game by 40 like LA did.
This is the 2-3-2 era. Spurs probably win two of three at home and head to Boston with two shots at the le.
And in the event the Spurs win Game 2, they might close it out in five. I would think the Spurs would win Game 1 because Boston had a lot of nerves in Game 1.
Lakers let the C's off the hook. Spurs wouldn't have, IMO.
Celtics got robbed vs Detroit in the 91 playoffs
What do you recall?
