Combine results released

Cam’s measurements are disappointing, drops him a little bit on my board
Jarace is smaller than advertised, Rayan Rupert is bigger than him overall (the SR is a big deal)
Cason Wallace rises on my board due to his surprising + wingspan
Black probably won’t be versatile enough to defend up to 3’s. That wingspan is a bummer.

No standouts from our most talked about prospects overall.

None of these matter. Combine day is the only time we give a shit about any of these measurements. Completely forgotten by the time the season starts.

Maybe you forget them but it matters for GMs in their choices. Ofc these guys real measurements and atheticism matters to determine what potential they may have in terms of defense notably.

Yeah you can’t teach height nor wingspan so teams definitely look at that as if your going to be a good defender, rebounder, shot blocker, you better not be shorter and have T-Rex arms. Lol

Almost every year, there is some fool with a 44” or 46” vert who never makes an NBA roster. Also, most NBA GMs are fools.

Yeah, it's all this facade really. GMs fixate on .3 seconds of sprint speed or whether some guy can jump like a deer and then none of it matters because that guy can't play. Once we're in October, it literally won't matter if Jarace is an inch shorter than expected.

Greg Brown and Kendall Brown were athletic marvels the last two years and they can't play. Athleticism matters, and having length matters but Emoni Bates having longer, non-T. Rex arms than we expected doesn't turn him into a good player.

I didn't hear anyone talk about arm length or lane agility metrics as a reason why Philly lost to Boston.

Measurements are not the end all its just another piece of the puzzle I guarantee if Scoot measurements were 6’1 with a 6’4 wingspan he aint going to be the number 2 pick.
