No Wi-Fi, so that sucks
Same happened in 2011 when it got to *gasp* 18 one morning in San Antonio.
Only half the time that I have power is Spectrum working. So I can only post here 1/4 of the day tbh.
Spectrum out in my area all day
Worst part of the day was clearing a path so my dog could take a dump
North Austin
Have not lost power
Bundled up and went for a 30 minute walk
It’s beautiful outside
Were you dripping? I have a couple pipes that froze regardless.
Kyle and Pflugerville say they're in danger of running out of water. WTF?
Just got power back. It went out about 6 am. It was starting to get a bit chilly inside the house (55F).
No water since we're on a well and everything froze up without power for that long.
I'm out lol
Zip code?
Just east of Boerne
Had pipes to the hot water heater in the attic freeze. Had to crawl up there and thaw it out enough to close the valves to it. For those with frozen pipes you will want to cut your water off before it finally thaws so you don't flood your house.
Was out walking around. Snow is melting in the sun and the water will refreeze hard tonight. Roads will be death traps tomorrow morning.
Funny how we forget how much we need electricity. A storm like this in 30 years will really you up after the idiot politicians ban gas power plants. Those windmills can't turn in ice storms and those solar panels don't work for when cloudy and covered with snow.
Plenty of gas energy went offline last night, a nuke plant did too. Blaming wind energy is a bit of a stretch.
Siemens sells a cold weather package for its turbines, did Texas buy any?
Who is banning natural gas?
Still have water. I have gas heat with water heater as well and pex mainline.
No one. Gas will need to be in the mix for the foreseeable future, until long after I am dead.
Another silly strawman that makes "conservatives" feel superior to "silly liberals".
SECEDE!!!.. bbbbbbrrrrrrrrr......
Cooking steaks, lobsters, asparagus and baked potatoes on the grill. Gotta suffer through this .
Seems like zero carbon includes natural gas. And no, those windmills can't turn when the blades ice up.
Buen provecho
Good deal then.
We have gas in our neighborhood but for some reason our house is not on the correct street.
8 hours is a of a long time. 4 and then 5 hours straight without the Big E killed us with the water. Especially all electric.
