After a whirlwind six-week courtship, the Lakers forward is engaged to be married to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.

"Khloe and Lamar want to get married before Lamar has to go away for training, and the season starts up [this fall]," a source told Us Weekly. "They are hoping to pull together a wedding within the next few weeks so they can get married and have a honeymoon."

And Kim Kardashian, Khloe's more famous sister, seems happy about the union.

"They're very, very happy," Kim told People.com. "They are literally inseparable. Khloe thinks he's amazing and makes her laugh and smile constantly."

But the best news: Finally Vanessa Bryant will have someone to hang out with during games.

This morning MediaTakeOut.com's inbox was flooded with "reports" that Khloe Kardashian and NBAs Lamar Odom are getting married. Well, obviously we don’t believe it - but E! News does. Here's what they’re saying:

Insiders tell E! News exclusively that Khloé Kardashian and her NBA star boyfriend Lamar Odom are already planning to tie the knot.

Odom, a forward for the L.A. Lakers, and Khloé recently have been "talking about rings," says a source close to the couple.

Members of the Kardashian family are neither confirming nor denying the wedding plans or a date. A rep for both stars have declined to comment.

So why are they faking it - you ask? According to some EXTREMELY well placed sources, Lamar is trying to promote his new clothing line - Rockin' Rich Soil Clothing.

And Khloe - well, ratings from her E! show have been steadily DROPPING ... and word is if they don't get ratings up QUICK - it's gonna get cancelled.
