crofl at caving and giving him a new contract
While I agree that Struggle Wilson's contract is hilarious, I don't see how it's relevant to this thread.
Eh. Seattle was dumb for maxing out the skill players and gutting their defense except for the very best stars. They should have asked Wilson in particular to take half of what he ended up getting because honestly that's how much he's worth. The Seahawks have made the last 2 super bowls because of their killer Dline, solid Oline and most importantly but not exclusively the LOB. Once you gut the super bowl caliber line of scrimmage guys and linebackers in favor of overpaying replaceable skill players on offense you're buying into the 2000–2012 era Jerry Jones philosophy, and your overall chances go way down.
for instance. Say Cole Beasley becomes a free agent and all of a sudden demands a $65 million contract. What do you do? No-brainer. There's a ton of 5-6, 5-7 white guys that are just as quick and good at running short routes and catching and running that would love to play NFL football.

Thomas Rawls will do just fine, his nickname at Central Michigan..The Beast. Yes, he's not the monster Lynch is but he does have more zip.
no, he won't
Rookies, sheesh~~~~~
Can you say....DUH~~~~~~
Will there ever come a time little s like you figure out....long time football freak here...?
they lost bro couldn't do in the 4th
The Lions lost all the time, does that mean Barry Sandes wasn't any good?
Rawls has averaged over 100 a game the last three. Dude, he had 169 yards today, ok man? You were as wrong as wrong gets, so own it, got it?
If I;m the Seahawks I get Rawls and Lockett far more involved in the offense. Get these guys out in space, both have some serious jets. Flare passes, pitch outs, reverses, whatever it takes.
While here...
They need to use a moving pocket, obviously something is wrong with the pass protection.
Shut up Mr. Farty McFartface
Translation
So tell me Avante, just who are the Seahawks stud backs?
No problem....
Their first solid back was Sherman Smith a converted MAC QB, but their first "great" back was Curt Warner out of Penn St. Furmans Chris Warren was a good back.
Ricky Watters
John L.Williams
The great Shaun Alexander
All prior to Lynch.
no asshole.
How about....
You...first time I ever heard of Sherman Smith.
Probably so. If I've heard of him, I don't remember him. The earliest Seahawks that I can remember watching were Zorn, Largent, McCutcheon, Herrera.
