Whether he's trying to be humble or tough, the common denominator is that he's fake. The guy is a poser.

If he came out and said “I’m a great player, I love basketball, but I’m also very insecure and sensitive. I hate losing, but also not interested in being challenged. I’m fully aware that going to GS was a move, but I don’t care because I’m happier in this role” then maybe he’d at least get respect for being honest.
