this has Cuckgers loss written all over it, everybody has been swinging for the fences like their Barry Bonds since going up 5-1. Going for the 'ooga booga' quick strike instead of working the count like they've been doing all postseason
    Simien continues.

Top 9 no outs runner on 1b then gets a pass to 2b.

Horrible whiff at a gopher ball. Tried just what you said, to jack it into the upper level vs advancing runner.

this is how it felt watching the Mavericks try to hang onto a 4th quarter, 5 pt lead at Staples Center way back in the early 00s against Shaq/Kobe

    Altuve, close, but no cigar.

Rangers up 2-0 on the road

Don't see Houston coming back from this one.

Rangers were super streaky in the 2nd Half though. Could just as well drop the next 2 or 3.

A key stat was how their bullpen blew 30 saves this season. That tells me the Rangers are effectively a 100+ win team when their pen is on. If their pen remains sharp, they could cruise through the rest of the playoffs. I think they probably have the best offense on paper out of the remaining teams.

Seemed like they had a 20 game stretch in August out of nowhere where they lost almost every game by blowing a lead. Then you have Seager missing 40 games, Josh Jung missing another month, Eovaldi missing a chunk of the season, and Scherzer's injury. I said that the bullpen holding onto a 1 run lead Game 1 on the road in Baltimore was HUGE for their World Series chances. The BP has talent, but you could tell they just lost their confidence. Both Sborz and Chapman went into that game clearly rattled and were all over the place. It had a 'here we go again' feel but they somehow managed to wriggle out of it. I felt Baltimore was screwed after that...the biggest weakness for Texas was the bullpen, and if you give them their confidence back? Going to be very difficult to beat

That Dallas Philly rivalry which already huge in football, renewed through baseball is going to be epic as in the world series.

This. 100 mph that are either way off or straight down the middle. I can't understand the point of him even winding up with that weird hitch. He should just step back and throw like a catcher would. I can't imagine he'd be any worse for it.
