It bothers us that your thinking is so faulty.

the 3 wise men are always welcome at our revolutionary chrismas parties: Jack, Jim and Jose
I never said THAT. I said they were taking part in the celebration of Christ's birth, and were therefore being hypocritical.
FIFY
2 CUPS Whiskey
2 CUPS Rum
2 CUPS Cream
2 Cups Half and Half
Vanilla
a Bunch of eggs (raw don't matter - this is jet fuel; the alcohol kills
Mix 2 CUPS Whiskey with 2 CUPS Rum in big ass cup. Pour Cream, Half and Half, Vanilla, and eggs down sink. Enjoy.
So if I got to friend's bar mitzvah, am I also being a hypocrite? What about if I go to a wedding at a church? Heck, what about if I go to church?
Pretty much the point I made to you that you disagreed with.
ag celebration. the serfs get a parole from work, as long as the log remains alight, or something like that. the tree/savior entanglement is ancient tho. one old custom put bandages on a fir tree, then took it on parade.
Fair enough. Glad you are so concerned.
I thought it was called "Holidays" as in "Holly" days. The times of celebrations honoring Dionysus.
Edit: I know it used to be called Christmas, but isn't anymore. I wonder what happened.
I don't think the majority of people -- Christian or not -- are participating in celebrating the birth of Christ by engaging in the commercial orgy we call Christmas.
Now, if some atheist wakes up Christmas morning -- rouses his family and start extolling on the reason for the gift exchange being to honor the birth of a Messiah in which he doesn't believe; you'll have a point.
Give it up. Christmas, as viewed by atheists, has nothing to do with Christ. Let 'em give their ing gifts.
Sounds delicious.
Pretty stupid claim, IMO.
sweaty testicles
some folk'll beat the yolks and whip the whites
All those traditions sound right at place in Jesus' land.
Edit: probably poor taste
No its Christmas. The reason for the season at one point was the winter ing solstice. I hate to break it to you, but the vast majority of people who celebrate Christmas don't do so with any regard to Jesus. Its changed. And you need only look at Black Friday to understand that.
Merry Christmas! Good luck to you and your family in the coming year.
Let me know when the Aggies decide to sing the Eyes of Texas at yell practice. You know, the same way Christians adopted pagan traditions. I guess when Christians adopted those traditions it was ok and it wasn't celebrating paganism but NOW if an atheist adopts a Christian tradition its participating in a CHRISTIAN celebration. Mmmmk.
I'm reminded...
What's wrong with being the "Most Failed Thread" of 2011?
