Who is scared of OKC? Kevin probably won't play anyway and Westchimp is time for another
leg problem....
spurs fans so scared of okc.. i say we beat them by 10pts!

The fear with these early big match-up games vs fellow contenders is wracking up losses that might come to bite us in the ass in tiebreak situation in the final stretch..We are going to need to work our team chemistry the first couple of months, so i'm hoping for a soft schedule in Nov/Dec...
I feel robbed. I wanted to see the Spurs put an ass whooping on the Warriors in their building on opening night. Reign on their lil we beat a bunch of muppets ring ceremony...
Cool. We get to start the season 1-0.
The NBA wasn't gonna allow that cmon b. They'll probably play the Kings opening night.
I agree, but OKC will need adjusting just as much as us tbh. KD missed the 2nd half of last season with injury so he might be shaking off some rust, plus he never got to play with Kanter. They have a new coach who has never coached in the NBA.
They play the Pelicans. It's just like how it was for us - opening the season again the first round opponent from the previous le run.
Looking like clippers spurs on Christmas. Not confirmed yet but thunder are playing the Bulls.
need to start somewhere tbh...
it's a solid and exciting match up to begin with
OKC ain't . Blowout win for the Spurs.
Apparently, the league thinks Durant will be healthy on opening night? I don't see the point of scheduling this as an opening night match-up otherwise.
Why would they not think that? He's already been doing full-strength practices and is playing during the Team USA mini-camp. The season isn't starting for another 2 and a half months. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be playing opening night.
Okay.... I haven't followed it that closely. I know that there's a significant risk of setbacks with Jones fracture injuries though.
Apparently, Spurs at Rox on Christmas (following at MIN on 12/23) with a home game on the 26th.
Thank you for sharing this! I now know when one of the spurs games up here in Minneapolis is going to be!!!
I do not understand the NBA ... the Christmas games are very very important for them ... they want to present a good product and put participating teams in "3 games in 4 nights" situations?
Yeah. And they're just tempting Pop to rest some star on a nationally televised game.
Apparently the game before the pre-Christmas trip to Minnesota is a December 21 home game against Indiana:
"The next reunion comes on Dec. 21 in San Antonio, when the Pacers travel to Texas to face the Spurs and former teammate David West."

When is the full schedule announced?
Spurs in Portland for first time on November 11.

Schedule release show just started on NBATV. Lamarcus Aldridge about to come on to talk.
Looks like this game will be the first ESPN matchup of the season.
