I don't think he is playing to get a contract from them. Summer league is about getting a contract with any NBA team, not just the team you are playing for

Yeah I feel you, but what other bigs are out there that they could use. I guess him being the impact player of the year probably raised their antenas about him... I'm not sure but maybe that was the case

Dawson is a solid bigman to have around for summer league. In summer league play, you need a few players who are accustomed to the system and don't have to prove everything from scratch. For that reason, Dawson will be really helpful.

Is James Anderson going to be on the summer league team? I know at one point this summer he was planning on it. Haven't heart recently . . .

Yeah I don't think Dawson is looking for a career in San Antonio, a few NBA teams are interested in him so he is just playing because he committed to them early on

Leonard probably won't play since he did so well as a rookie. He might but unlikely. It looks the team needs a couple more bigs. Dawson and Green are the only two bigs on that list.

Hopefully not that scrub Zeller, tbh.
