Golden State is getting a good deal. Getting rid of a huge contract, getting a good big and only dropping from 2 to 6 only in the draft.

Ownership and Young are supposedly pushing Schlenk to take a step forward towards legit playoff contention. Plus they have significant cap space, but will struggle to fill it with a better "win now" player. At least one that won't cost them one of Huerter/Hunter/Reddish/future 1sts and would probably extend.
