Damn shame you can't double dip. I'm still wondering why that hasn't been taken into the court system for a ganders. Must be a sweetheart deal, eh, kids?
He's been a great salesman, got a lot of value whenever we sent a good player away.
His drafting record is really questionable.
We weren't in the position to trade for any stars yet.
If he fucks up the draft again, he needs to go.
Hopefully it's finally a draft where we don't look back and...
But then again if they're really sure about a wing being the real deal, I'd rather have an all-star wing than an all-star point guard.
Combine and workouts will decide their choice. We can only hope they improve their recent draft record.
As I said already, I can't see Pistons, Hornets or...
Assuming the Hawks select Sarr with the #1 pick -- what would be necessary for the Spurs to trade for him?
I'm not asking for opinions whether the Spurs should trade for him, or what anyone thinks of him as a Spur. I'm asking opinions on what would be the necessary package to acquire him,...
I just hope we get Dilly. To me he‘s by far the player with the highest ceiling, especially with his self creation ability. Wings are plenty to pick from and one will be there at 8
:lmao At the Craptors and their phony, media (buddies) contrived reputation in shambles, trading the 8th pick + for a limited starter at an oversaturated position, in a last gasp attempt to sneak into the playoffs, where they'd have been summarily dismissed anyway.
Presuming the Hawks go Sarr at 1 and the Spurs are interested in Risacher, why would the Wizards, early in their re-build, not go with him, shop him to them for 4 + and still have their pick of Topic, Dillingham or possibly Clingan?
Exactly. He tried to hardball everyone, pretending to be an elite poker player and everyone called his bluff.
Then it was too late to get any value back.
His refusal to tank set them back by a lot and now they're left with nothing and will treadmill for some time.
Where Buzelis lands is gonna be interesting. Those workouts could really show something. He could go 2. I don't think he goes Houston with JBS there. Detroit seems like a possibility. He may still be there at 8. It's a big swing.
I'd really think about him before Risacher.
It hasn’t happened since the new flat odds lottery was implemented in 2019 for the Zion draft. 2 and 3 seem to win a lot.
The reality is that it’s a coin flip if any of the top 4 teams stay there, and this is the second draft under the new system where 3 of the 4 didn’t.
Most of those trades were because those players were getting huge paydays. They had to move from pretty much all of them. The only question is whether they waited too long.
They shouldnt tank, but they also should spend assets to bring good player. I doubt #4 and #8 will be trade, and outside Keldon, any bigger trade would be future assets in pick and swaps, rather than Collins, Brahnam, Wesley
Gotcha - so it’s more of a weak draft thing than a young player thing in your mind. I just see so many guys who can be replaced or at least should have to really grow and leap and fight for spots so there’s plenty of room.
I would love if there was a legit good player that’s young-ish that SA...
I think Spurs will promise #4 to Risacher. He and his agent will do their part to make it happen by not working out with teams.
Hawks should pick Sarr at #1. Wizards should go with a PG or Clingan at #2. The issue is Rockets at #3...
Just think they’ll be more open to wheeling and dealing than normally and with the draft being so meh I could see them being content with a Risacher and a trade for a more win-now player than what a Dillingham or Matas or Holland would be. Like you said, they have the ammo to make various moves,...
I wouldn’t mind Dilly and Knecht as it injects some immediate shooting into the roster; however, they will need to add some plus defenders to the roster here at some point.
Fuck Masai, his entire reputation was built on Pop wanting to send Kawhi far away.
Just look at all the moves he made since they won, lost his entire championship starting lineup for more or less nothing and then gave up some more assets.
