Agree. Rockets are in a good position to compete next season. I think Rockets and OKC are the 2 upcoming young teams to watch

I'd say they've done a pretty good job of building through the draft and are now supplementing that with vet talent. Guys on their squad who they drafted: Amen Whitmore Jabari Eason Sengun Jalen Green

Ime is one of the best and he'd outcoach Pop everytime. It's just that the Rockets owner is rushing the process. They'll probably try to build through free agency/trades instead of drafting, I just don't see how they could become a real contender, but we'll see.

Traoré has some Jamal Murray in him too. Similar size and the form on his jumper looks really similar to Murray's as well. He already has that pull-up midrange game like Murray does, and just the way he makes defenses pay if they go under the screen. He's like a more explosive, better passing,...

Spurs will likely suck again next year tbh. Maybe not as bad as we did this year, but we should definitely be a bottom-8 team. More importantly, we really need Atlanta to suck next year. The 2025 Class looks like it's going to be stacked compared to this class. Lots of really good Guard and Wing...

You know what the Suns did? Draft supossedly high upside guys with defensive and playmaking abilities but questionable shooting, at number 4. What does that sound like?

Dillingham will be there at 8 if you want shooting. I do like Knecht, though.

Man, Castle and Salaun would be such a risky draft, and one that I don't see panning out at all. PATFO can't strike out on both top 10 picks, they just can't. If they do, some heads need to roll, tbh.

If both, Castle and Sheppard are available, I'm taking Sheppard without thinking twice. To me both have about the same celing, with Sheppard having the much higher floor and being able to contribute right away. Sheppard's shooting is gonna be way more valuable than Castle's defense, and...

Wanted to bump this thread because it reminded me of how highly regarded Topic was pre-injury. Of course, he's fallen off most big boards since then due to health concerns. But at his best, he really was viewed as one of the top-tier prospects in this draft, as OP's post so eloquently reminds us. ...

I didn't realize 2016 and 2017 had the same exact draft order for the first four picks. I guess I wasn't paying attention those years. That's wild. 1. Philadelphia Sixers 2. Los Angeles Lakers 3. Boston Celtics 4. Phoenix Suns Do you remember who those picks turned out to be? Philly's...

So I looked at a bunch of big boards and compiled this consensus ranking of the top 10 prospects available, based on a simple average of each prospect's ranking on the big board. Take note, this is a ranking, not a mock draft, and this is current as of May 30: 1. Alex Sarr 2. Zaccharie Risacher...

Oh man sorry to hear that. When I lost my dog about ten years ago that first week was really tough like I'd just instinctively go to her favorite spots because I was used to doing it multiple times a day to go say hi or go play with her or take her out for a walk, etc, and it was strange having a...

^ I don't recall saying it had to be either iteration you proposed or that it even had to happen (we know it won't) period. The point is, they have options and don't have to settle for some non shooter.

Risacher ain’t worth trading both 4 + 8 for, and he sure as hell ain’t worth trading 4 + one of ATL’s Unprotected picks for. He’s going to be a Wizard.

Three final points . . . 1. I don't put much stock in the "I'm a PG" comment. Nobody is handing him "the keys" in terms of running volume p-n-r. What I could see is them trading for Brogdon, starting them together and having every starter have some level of agency in terms of offensive...

Of all the prospects, Dillinghams game fits best with Wemby. There's not even a close second. The speed and shooting ability will make that 2 man game amazing to watch. Wemby has said prospects have reached out to him, and if you were in his shoes who would you want the Spurs to draft? Some guy who...

Ok, I'll play. I'll assume Sheppard at #4 and I'll go Buzelis at #8. The reasoning is that I think Matas has enough court vision and will have enough handle to be a secondary playmaker to balance out with Sheppard.
