It's going to be awkward if Victor returns to San Antonio with a Gold or Silver Olympic medal, and he feels like the Spurs aren't doing their absolute best to maximize wins... which is how I think some would characterize last season-- not so much that there were blatantly tanking, but that they...

Why would you draft for theoretical upside? A team should take wild swings of the bat at upside when they have no franchise talent... or they have enough good talent and are already contending. We already have Wembanyama; we don't need theoretical anything. We need really good support players. If...

I've been saying that Saluan is a strong candidate in the 6-10 pick range for a while now. Becomes even more of a possibility now that the Spurs have two top 10 picks. I have a strong feeling he's the pick at 8 with the only question being if he gets past the Blazers at #7. Teams are going...

Right now I don't really trust PATFO because their recent drafts have been questionable, to say the least. But they surely know more than us. At the end of the day, I don't care who they draft, as long as it's a success. If we get one long-term starter out of these two picks, I'll be happy.

If the Spurs could trade a chunk of their stockpile of draft assets for an established All-NBA player on the perimeter, then they could accelerate the rebuild. You’d look for a team that has stagnated like the Suns and was looking to blow it all up and start over. Except the Suns aren’t doing...

Maybe the Spurs should just get some basketball players and let their opponents try to figure out what positions they play. (Or maybe not.)

Yeah, I like Salaun has a prospect so I'm not the most objective guy. I like the upside swing when you have 2 top 10 picks.

Tbh, it's not a bad outcome long term. If PATFO gets Salaun, it would mean Wemby's camp had an influence. It would be great if he develops. If not, we wasted a #8 pick to show Wemby's camp that they shouldn't expcet the front office to draft or trade for his friends ever again.

Because Risacher is expected to be a great 3 and D wing and those will always be much more valued than a low floor high ceiling 90% bust rate athletic wing

How are they going to crawl out of the lottery? There is no player in this draft that will make them better next year, and Trae probably checks out if they don’t trade him after all of the rumors that were floated. I can see many scenarios where they’re worse than this year, even without trying.

Agree with bum. The only situation where i think i feel comfortable taking a wing at 4 is if it’s Risacher. Yes I’m tempted to game theory it and bank on a point guard falling but the possibility of coming out of the draft without either Kentucky guard to me would be catastrophic. Yes we got the...

I would much rather have Murray than Trae but I wouldn't break the bank for Murray either. The above mentioned trade would be OK it might even be a bit much. That 26 Hawks unprotected might be fire. I might make it Graham 8 and 26 Hawks or Graham 4 and the Spurs choice of a first round pick in 26,...

Murray is still better to have than Collins and a future pick that probably ends up not lottery as Atlanta used to getting to the playoffs and will try even harder making the playoffs knowing they don't have their pick

Spurs won a few games in the last 15 games of the year the year before to. Denver game was a lucky last second 2 point win against a team that took that game lightly. Other wins were against tanking teams.
